It'll run Final Cut Studio, but not great. As for Color, for 4k and DPX files, you want a minimum of 512MB of video RAM, and the MBP 13" has 256MB shared video RAM. Personally, if you're investing in FCS, I'd pony up the extra bucks and go with a MBP 15" with dedicated graphics card and video RAM. The 13", I'm afraid, is just going to frustrate you.

i agree with the guy above. i used mine to make a music video, it was alright but it kept saying out of memory when trying to import videos to the bin. so yeah, frustrating, but do-able with some patience.

I run FCE 4 on my 13" Pro. It works well. Occasionally you may notice some minor lagging, but it is not a huge deal. I may end up getting more RAM one day. But at the moment, 4 G is enough for me.

Thanks for all your advice guys.

I decided to go with it as It was only costing me £675. Its go 2gb ram, how much would an update to 4gbs cost just so it runs colour and final cut tht bit smoother?

It will probably cost you around $100. So I would look on amazon.com if I were you.
