Some questions on syncing multiple devices

I'm using my macbook and itunes to sync my iPad, three itouchs, and one ipod shuffle. All devices are using my apple account, buy they all have unique user ids. The problem I am running into is that my kids download apps onto their ipods, and then after they sync with my computer and then I sync my ipad, all their apps appear on my ipad. (and visa versa) What is the magic button that I need to check or uncheck that will prevent this from happening? I can't seem to figure this out....and I don't need 500 ninja game apps on my ipad.

Also, my dd bought some Psych episodes on itunes, but I can't get them to sync to her itouch. I have the boxes checked...but they don't show up in videos.

Any suggestions?

Your iPad must be set to automatically sync all new apps.

Plug in the iPad and wait for iTunes to stop syncing.
Select your iPad by clicking on it in the left-hand column.
Click on the Apps tab/page in the main window.
Uncheck the Sync New Apps box.
Go through that long list and check only the boxes of the apps you want on your iPad.
Click Sync in the bottom right corner.

Thank you! I will do that for all devices. The kids don't like my "mom" apps on their devices LOL
