Hey guys, as the title says, I'm new here. I just ordered a 21.5" iMac, and I was wondering if there is anything I should know, as far as anything goes. One question right off the bat I have is, i ordered an Epson Workforce 630 wireless printer, and from what I understand is that I won't be able to print wirelessly without an Airport station, is that correct? I've been looking around, and I think I'm going to like it here, thanks in advance.

Well, how much Mac knowledge (experience) do you have? It's hard to say what to tell you unless you provide a little background.

If you already have a wireless router there wouldn't be any need to get an Airport extreme unless you're looking to upgrade. The printer software should walk you through connecting to your existing network during the initial setup.

I basically know how to get around, that's it. The place we bought it from gives free lessons on how to use a Mac, so I'm gonna go to one, but I don't think that there's any better way to learn than sitting down and using it. So how would I set the printer up then?

But basically you install the drivers on your Mac (I'd download the latest ones from the website rather than using the CD). Then use the controls on the printer itself to setup connection to your wireless network.

Huh, thanks guys! I was always led to believe that I needed an Airport station. Even the "Apple Specialists' that sold us the computer said you needed one. So has anyone used the Mac App Store?

The Mac App Store just provides a way of browsing and installing Mac Applications.

Basically the same as iOS app store, but you're downloading/installing apps directly to your Mac. You don't go through iTunes. The Mac App Store is a separate app in of itself.

Another difference is that unlike the iOS store the Mac App Store isn't the only way of getting Mac software.
