Removing bluetooth Icon

Afternoon,

I am have a slight niggle with my iBook (clamshell). I plugged in a bluetooth Dongle the otherday to see if it would work. The iBook picked it up as a bluetooth device, but was unable to use it. So I have unplugged it but the icon on the top bar is still there. Greyed out as theres no bluetooth, but still taking up space.

This can be quite annoying with a 800x600 resolution. It wasnt there before I plugged in the dongle, is there anyway to remove it?

Thanks for any help.

Look in your System Preferences and see if the Bluetooth Icon is still there.

If it is then click on it and go to the settings tab... It is the bottom option and uncheck it:

"Show Bluetooth Status in Menu Bar"

For next time just Command + Drag the icon out of the top menubar
