iLife 11... is it better than iLife 09??

As the title says, i bought a my macbook in december and it came with ilife 09. i Just receved my free upgrade disc for ilife 11 and ive read mixed reviews on the apple store about the new version. I wanna know if its better or worse than ilife 11 and should u update it now or leave it as it is?

I say yes it is worth it just for the full screen iPhoto it has. I bought it and was stoked at the upgrades it has incorporated . . . .

cheers mate, i installed it anyways last night as i thought i got nothing too lose and common sense would say it had to be better than the previoius version or apple wouldnt have changed it

I have it installed only for iPhoto...

It's worth it if you want the changes... Just look at the new features list, and decide

I read all the reviews and was somewhat hesitant. Bought it anyway and really don't understand the negative reviews. I use iMovie quite a bit and its new features are just great. iPhoto has some great improvements too. I don't use Garageband so can't tell you anything about that. There have also been a few updates that may have addressed some of the quirks that people were complaining about. I have absolutely no regrets in going to iLife '11.

I've read some of the reviews and am a bit nervous but it sounds like I should like it. I have what may be a silly question. I have iLife 08 and my iPhoto has been very buggy for the last couple a months...can't open events and view/edit all photos as thumbnails like I could before. So I'm ready to make the upgrade to '11 but do I need to uninstall '08 or will '11 overwrite it? Also, I planned to back all my photos up anyway but will the new install auto transfer all my photo/movie files or will I have to manually reload? Thanks. Macbook OS X 10.5.8

When you install it, it will overwrite everything. You won't have to do anything, it does it all for you.

You may have to update your OS. I see you're running 10.5.8.
The latest is 10.6.6.

Yes, I realized I'd need to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Ordered it and iLife 11. Thanks for your help.
