outgoing mail problem on new mac-2011

Go into System Preferences and check the DNS settings. You need a Primary and a Scondary address which are available from your ISP. Next open Mail preferences and make sure outgoing mail server information is complete.
Also again contact your ISP as mine requires 'securemail.' in front of the server name.
