Not sure if this is the right area to post this, but I have a persistent problem with the Pages program in iWorks ('08 v 3.0.3.). When I compose a letter, on the line following the address (often a P. O. box), the letter "Q." consistently appears. When I try and delete it, the line I'm composing simply attaches
itself to the line above. I've tried formatting the address in a text box, but the same thing happens. I've had to switch back to Word for my letters which is ok, but not my first choice as I'm trying to favor the Apple programs over Microsoft.

Open Pages preferences, click on the Auto-Correction tab, and un-check the "Automatically detect lists" box. Then open a new document.

If you don't want to give up the automatic list detector, you can type a double-return to force it not to make a list.
