That would be something. The iPhone with a dual-core processor? Wow! So much speculation going on right now about the iPhone and iPad. It'll be fun to sit back and see how everything unfolds over the next 18 months.

17 inch 2 GHz C2D imac (5,1) with 3GB DDR2 RAM, X1600 (128MB memory) GPU - OSX 10.6.3
Now would this new iphone be a phone or a mini computer that just happens to be able to make calls? I can so see Apple killing off the Mac mini by the year 2020. And it'll be replaced with the ipod touch/iphone. Heck I can see even the imac and iOS devices having the same internals in 2020.

I think the iOS hardware will get so good you'll be able to do everything you want on it. I think smart money this decade would be put on the mobile revolution. And I believe this is the start.

And thus, the lock down between hardware and applications will be complete. Things which people would never accept all at once are easier to push on people in little bits. Clever.
