I haven't had many problems importing Pages documents into .doc format, something that is necessary for me in school. The one nagging problem is how footnotes are treated in the transition. My footnotes in Pages are nice and styled just as I want them but when I export the document to Word they are double spaced and spread out. Is there a remedy for this in Inspector or something? Thanks!

Probably not. Footnotes, endnotes, and some other formatting like borders and cells just do not translate well when going from Pages to Word and vice versa. Just something you have to live with or buy MS Office.

Or try NeoOffice or OpenOffice; both free.
