Hi there!
I want to use a BenQ GL2240 monitor on my MacBook Pro 13'.
With the original apple adapter from mini display port to DVI and an DVI to DVI cable I have connected the monitor with the MacBook Pro and it works only with the resolution 800x600 and 1360x768 (60Hz), but I want to use the recommended resolution for this monitor which is 1920x1080 (60Hz).
When I switch to this higher resolution, with mirroring turned on or off, the monitor says that there is no signal detected :(
I have tried this monitor with a none Mac laptop via VGA cable, and it works in the resolution 1920x1080.

Do You have an idea what I can do to use the monitor with an MacBook Pro 13' in the higher resolution 1920x1080?

What can be the problem...

You need to operate in "clamshell" mode in order to obtain the native resolution of the BenQ. See this Apple KB article to learn how. LINK
