Powerbook Lombard

I just bought a powerbook lombard of ebay and it has a dual boot thing where I can boot into OS 9.2 or OSX. It automatically boots into OS9.2 so how to make it so I can go into OSX at startup to see if it works?

Go into the Control Panel in OS9 and look for Startup Disk. Select the OSX selection. That should do it.

hey, whats the specs, what OSX version? and how does it perform? i got a wallstreet the gf broke the DC in..im thinking of repairing it, and later on buying either a lombard or pismo just for osx and some photoshop drawing

It's running 10.2 and 9.2 on a partion, 20Gb harddrive, 192MB of ram, 330mhz processor. I find it quite fast actually it opens most things with ease, havent tried photoshop yet though.

i have a question, i have a lombard and was thinking of buying a new logic board (400) for it. how hard is it to install? is it something that i can do? i have some not much use with electronics.

asa PC user whos built 6 dual CPU machines, with DIY watercooling parts (thats right, NO prebought waterblocks) this kinda thing is cake for me.

i have to install a new DC in on my G3. doesnt look too hard.

EDIT: i didnt read, but im GUESSING it requires a T8 torx screwdriver. biggest PPITA youll look for. Home Depot has a set of torx for 6$, you get like 6 bits with it, SMALL sizes too, very useful. took me 3 weeks to hunt a T8 down.
