I just recently purchased a Canon HFS20. I shot some video with it, and it contained a great deal of talking and other ambient sounds that I want to get rid of.

Can somebody tell me if it's at all possible to get rid of the ambient noise, and how best to do it? I am just getting started with iMovie, and Final Cut Express.

What version of imovie...? If it's 09 + simply click on the clip...go to edit...select mute clip...you can paste these adjustments throughout all your clips...
