He is using an app called CoconutBattery:
coconutBattery 2.7 - by coconut-flavour.com
OP, one thing you can try to do is let your battery completely die and then charge it to 100% and see if that changes anything. Good luck!

My mistake, i assumed that it was 99% of the original battery, not 99% of 97%
