ichat video/audio not working?

My friend's ichat video and audio chat does not work. only the text messaging works. and we already tried changing the UDP ports and the T-something-something ports with the port numbers on an apple support thread

any ideas?

Have you checked to see if the programs are ok.
Have you installed any other chat soft ware that may conflict with them?
