I waffled between posting this here or under Other Hardware, but since my DNS-323 seems to work with no issues other than with Aperture, I decided it fit better here.
Bottom-line: Aperture will not load libraries from the DNS-323 D-Link NAS, nor will iPhoto import from Aperture libraries on the NAS. But, iPhoto doesn't seem to have a problem reading or writing to iPhoto libraries on the same NAS. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
I have found that if I place the Aperture library in a sparse image and put that on the NAS I can work with the file after opening the disk image, but that seems rather a cludgy way to do business.
