I've tried to update to iTunes 10 on my Mac Pro, but have not been succesful after many attempts.
I did manage to update it on my MacBook.

I've tried it thru "check for updates" and I've even downloaded it from Apple's website and then tried to install it, but every time I get this message:"iTunes quit unexpectedly"

Can anyone help me with this?
Thank you in advance.

What version of Mac OS X are you running?

If you mean, clicking on the 'report' button in the error message, then yes. At least, I think I have on two occasions. This was a while ago, I must add.

Try completely removing iTunes first before downloading version 10. Make sure you remove everything (of course backup your music library first).

Problem solved!

With the help of Apple support, I finally managed to resolve this problem. :D
I should have called Apple earlier. They were so helpful and it us over an hour, but I'm so happy now that iTunes 10 is installed and working.
It turns out that this file called "DesktopVideoOut.component" was the culprit. I'm not sure, but I think it is an internet plug-in.
