I switched out my "old" router for a new airport extreme and also got a 2TB time capsule. The plan was to have the TC in my neighbors house and the use it as off-site backup and to extend my wifi around his house. The AP is placed right next to my outer brick wall and there is about 10-15meters (x3 for feet) to my neighbor where the TC is sitting in his kitchen windows wich faced directly at my outer wall.
Now, the two units does have connection but the speed is only about 1.5Mbit/s max, wich makes it pretty much useless for backup...
I tried changing a lot of settings but this is the fastest I got. I am guessing the units suffer from lack of antenna, but are there any suggestions as to how I could improve the speed perhaps?
