Hi,
I am owner of the Macbook aluminum 13.3 inch 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo laptop and want to upgrade the HDD. It came with a 250GB HDD but I am finding that I'm running out of space quickly. Can anyone tell me what is the largest and fastest HDD available for my specific macbook? Any links on high rated drives would be helpful too. I found one a 500GB HDD at Amazon but I'm not sure if it would be compatible.

Thanks in advance!

Your Mac's Specs
MBP 2.3 Ghz 4GB RAM 860 GB SSD, iMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 32GB RAM, Fusion Drive 1TB
750 GB is the most you can currently fit into a MB. Notebook HDD for the MB/MBP* are 2.5" Wide and they need to be 9.5mm in height to fit.

The larger 17" MBP can probably fit slightly thicker HDDs but I wouldn't try it. Overheating for one thing. >_>"

I think you mean 7200 RPM. I would go for the 7200 RPM drive as it can improve boot times and access times. And as crimson indicated, the largest drive you can safely use for now is 750 GB. 2.5" x 9.5mm
