Hello.
Recently i decided that i wanted to change the name of my home folder, so i created a 'root' account and changed it, but when i tried to log on, it seemed as if everything had been reset to factory settings, and the name of the home folder did not even change. What gives?

Okay, i solved the problem. What you have to do is rename the new home folder (the one with none of your preferences) and add "_new" at the end of the name without the quotes. Now find the old home folder (the one with your preferences) and change it back to its original name. More information can be found here: Recover from renaming your Home folder
