Downloaded movie downloading again??

So I downloaded a movie but just didn't play it until like 15 days after and today that I'm trying to wacth it it says it would play in the same amount of time it took me to download it. Is this right or is there any problem with it, I mean why would I download the movie before if it's going to take me the same amount of time to watch it right now?
