Problems with IMovie (converting, fasten, and slow motions)

Im having problems with "slow motions, fast forward, and reverse" functions in imovie.

I watched the tutorials on apple.com so i kinda know how to do those but the problem is imovie ask to convert the clips before i can do any of tat stuff (fast..,slow..,reverse.)

But then the converting always fails .....
I have 2 pictures of my screen down here so please help me

P/s: I dont know how to put the pictures on so u guys dont need to download to see it..... Sorry ... and Sorry for my english, its kinda clumsy :p

And by the way, the clips tat i filmed by my iphone 4 have sooo small size, ratio or something like that. if anyone know how to make it normal, please help :)
