How can i Put a password on a folder "encrypt"

Is there a way i can put a password on a folder I have people going on my laptop all day and i don't want them going through files that they should'nt be going through is there a way i can password protect them?

Take s2odin's advice. Keep your account for YOU and use guest or user accounts for ANYONE else (including your pals, lovers, mom, etc). Really it will save you soooo much hassle in the long run.
