iMovie - Please Help!

I'm having trouble making a simple video with iMovie. I just want one audio track (mp3) and one or two pictures (jpg). When I add these files it only plays 4 seconds of the song per picture. How can I get it to play the entire audio track (with only one or two pictures)?

Default setting for pictures is 4 seconds....Change the time setting on the pictures ( click on small gear wheel in the frame ) to the desired time to stretch out the song....

If you want the photo to show for 4 minutes 30 seconds, enter it as 4:30:0

When I click the clock in the picture I'm only allowed 59sec/image. Is there a way to increase this limit, or do you have to import the same image multiple times?

Hover your mouse over the picture and click on the gearwheel at the lefthand side. Choose Clip Adjustment, and enter the time there.

I don't see a gearwheel. There are three icons.. two at the top left (a sun for adjusting the color and a box with arrows to adjust the size) and one at the bottom left (a clock for adjusting the duration). However, it only allows you to go up to 59 seconds.

Hmmm... what version of imovie do you have...?

That'll be iMovie08. Set to a suitable time and copy and paste the picture.

It always helps to say which Mac/software version etc you have when posting a question.
