Xcode 3.2.5 Debugger Help

Your Mac's Specs
Macbook Pro 13" 2.44ghz 4GB 250GB
I am new to Xcode and I trying to use the debugger. It list my project at the top but the editor, threads, and variables are all blank. I tried everything that the help suggest but I can not get it. Please help!!
