Hello all

I have a MacBook pro, which I just purchased a few weeks ago. I finally decided to make the switch from PC to Mac. Although I love my machine I have had some minor issues which I hope someone here can help me with. Here are my Macbooks specs: Processor 2.4 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. 4 GB DDR3 memory and Mac OSX v 10.6.5. The problem is with my internet connection speeds. Browsing the web can be really slow. At home and work. I am particularly interested in fixing the problem at home. I have a Netgear N300 wireless router which claims 300mbs. Even when I hard wire the network I am still really slow. Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas? I mainly use Chrome and Firefox.

Thanks

Well first I would call your ISP and see if there is an issue on their end.

Go to: Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and see if it is what you are paying for. Now, when an ISP sells you internet, you rarely, if ever hit the advertised speeds. You will always be slower than what they provide.
