hello, i just got a new macbook pro and am interested in using bootcamp to also run windows vista. i am curious to know if i'll be able to do a clean of install windows 7 over vista instead of having to reformat my hard drive or anything like that?

Yes, if you have Vista installed via Bootcamp, you can use a Win7 upgrade disc to upgrade to W7.

thank you, would i also be able to uninstall vista and then install windows 7 without the upgrade disc? i have a vista oem disc and plan on getting a windows 7 oem disc or is it worth just buying the upgrade disc?

Just get the upgrade version. It will save you some money as opposed to a new OEM disc. And it will do the same thing.
