How well will OSX- jaguar, panther, and tiger run on an ibook g3 500 mhz, 320 ram?

i would say panter would run good and so would jaguar tiger would i think be a little to much but you could if you had to. Between 10.2 or 10.3 im not sure

Panther would be my recommendation as far as overall "speediness" is concerned, and it's still a very up to date OS. If at all possible though, I would suggest upgrading to a bit more RAM.

ive heard that panther has better ram management....but i dont think you'll really tell a big difference

I have an iBook G3 500 w/ 256mb RAM and Airport. I run Tiger on it just fine. It's good for an app or two to run together.

I do some light PhotoShop stuff and web authoring. I would say the vram is the weakest link.

Unfortunatly it is dying a slow death from its portable abuse.
