Wasn't thinking

Guess I haven't woken up yet. I guess all I have to do is install IE and copy the folder over but I don't want to install IE on my new machine would like to use Safari. I think there is a way to do copy them to safari?

Use the cloud, specifically Xmarks

In any case you cannot install IE o a mac without windows, since there is no modern version of IE on OSX

Anyhow, download Xmarks for IE on the PC and sync your favourites to their system

Xmarks | Bookmark Sync and Search

Then download Xmarks for Safari on the mac and sync, job done - also you will always be able to keep your bookmarks synced no matter what browser you use

You could also export them (see here) and then try to import them into Safari. I'm not sure how well Safari will handle that (never tried it) but it's worth a shot. That will be much quicker than setting up Xmarks. ;)

Use the method Van suggested instead. It's faster and Safari has no problem importing IE bookmarks. I've done it several times and it works well.

The advantage to Xmarks would be if there's a need to keep the two machines in sync. Otherwise I agree, it's overkill.

I used the Xmark suggestion as I figured I might as well synch up my computers and it worked wonderfully. Thank you for your help. Has anyone ever tried the other app called "SugarSynch"? Wondering if it's worth for music like iTunes?
