email: why can't i get online by clicking a link in email?

this has just happened in the last day.

get an email (like groupon) and i can not get online by clicking on anything in the email. Its happening in all of my emails, not just groupon.

i have both safari and firefox; but i've never had this problem before. did some setting get changed? where do i start looking?

ok; just restarted my system -- havent done that for a day or two - and all is good now. it works just fine.

Ahh the benefits of a reboot. All those files and folders go unchecked not rebooting from time to time.
