Installing Skype - problems

21.5' iMac i3 3.2GHz, 13.3' MacBook Pro 2.26GHz, iPhone 4(16GB), 160GB iPod Classic
Okay I am having a hard time installing Skype on my dad's MacBook. What happens is, I download it, I put the icon in applications folder. Than when I restart the computer even though I didn't install it on the dock, it opens in the dock, two copies are running, and it launches Mozilla browser too.

Any help would be appreciated!

it might be opening automatically on start up. try going into accounts in system preferences, then to login items, and unchecking it. hope it helps
