Hello Mac Forumers,
Recently my sister installed a security update on her Mac Book Pro 15". Here are the specs:
15-inch: 2.53GHz
Intel Core i5
4GB Memory
500 GB Hard Drive
Intel HD Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 256MB

Ok so now that is all done with. The problem is after she restarted her computer it would go to the Apple logo and a spinning icon would appear. The computer wouldn't go any farther in the booting process after that. Right now I am going to boot from the install cd and repair the permissions of the hard drive and see if that helps any.

Thanks
- Kyle

I think I found a fix for this. I am going to re-install Snow Leopard because it Archive and Installs the new OS with out deleting any information. I hope :D

Have you formatted the disk or just gone for the install?

My sister made a appointment at the Apple store today. So hopefully they can clear things up.

Ok I got it to work, booted in Target disk mode, transfered her stuff to my external hard drive and re-installed Snow Leopard.
