Hi, recently got an iMac 27" as per my listed specs. This iMac is a stand-alone. I do not have a home network. I have it connected to my router BT HomeHub v2 via Ethernet cable with no problems.

This being the case, I presume it is not necessary to have Airport switched ON?

Cheers in advance

:)
