connect macbook to Tv

Hi

I know you can connect a macbook to a TV via VGA or HDMI but I have a spare usb to usb lead and wondered if it was possible to connect my macbook 13" unibody to a LG LCD via USB

I don't think you can connect a Mac to a Tv with a usb. Maybe there is a converter, but I am not sure. You should go HDMI ;D

Never heard of anyone using USB to connect a computer to a TV. And if you did, the video quality would look terrible.

Just get a $3 HDMI cable off Amazon or mono price. That will only work if you have a 2010 MBP. If you have an earlier model, the display port does not support audio from its port so you would need a separate audio cable.
