I don't know but I have got a HTC Desire HD and i'm very happy about it lol. Although 99cents isn't the biggest buy in history ;P

It tells you in the article

Rovio released the Android version of "Angry Birds" as a free ad-based app ealier this year, calling it "the Google way." According to Vesterbacka, "paid content just doesn’t work on Android."

And if you really like the app you'd rather the game be cheap. 99¢ and most of that will go right to the developer. Free ad based apps don't have the developer getting as much money.

supply and demand. You can't demand a price for something when such a large amount of apps aren't selling for anything.

You're getting what you pay for with the Android version and getting MUCH more than you pay for with the iOS version. I can't believe how much I enjoy this game and for only 99cents!

It's the same game, one has ads and one you have to pay for.

The reason they're angry is because the game won't run on all Android phones (even some that are only a year old) and they have to create a different version for the older phones.
