when i post a wallpaper it automatically rotates it to landscape, there is no obvious way to stop this, is there a way to keep a portrait picture portrait when making it a wallpaper?

??? Can't get the desktop background to rotate a picture here using 10.6.

Is the picture saved to your machine in the proper orientation?

Try selecting the Fit to Screen option.

What if you rotate the picture in the oposite direction before setting it as the wallpaper, hoping for the desktop to get rotated into place? :D
