Hi guys,
I have a 1st generation Intel iMac (white) and it has just recently died on me, there is absolutely no life in it at all even after resetting the SMU.
Basically as I've got cash to burn I'm going to treat myself to a new 27" iMac, however I need to get my data from the old hard drive. As the Mac does not work I'm going to have to remove it and use a usb-SATA cable to retrieve the data.
Can anyone advise my what tools I will need to do this? I suspect I will need phillips and/or Torx screwdrivers or similar.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance
