I purchased a mac about 7 years ago. It is OS X 10.4.11 with a 2GHz PowerPC G5 processor. I recently purchased a new ipod touch and it needs a new updated itunes(version 10) to work. The itunes needs an updated operating system. The new operating system, 10.6, will not work on my computer because it needs an intel processor. Is there anything i can do to make my ipod work?

Use a friends computer who has iTunes 10.1. But then you would have to use their computer any time you wanted to add music.

Your iPod/iTunes only need OS X 10.5(Leopard) or later. You'll need to try and find a retail copy of Leopard from ebay or somewhere. Make sure that it's a Retail(Black with a big X) copy, and not a grey computer specific restore disc.
