How do you set it up so when some one comes into my channel it automatically makes them operator?

Depends on the network you're on, every one is different. Some don't even offer those services.

I am using freenode same as mf

The first thing to understand about freenode is that to have a channel there you need to be affiliated with an organization or open source software effort. Otherwise you won't be able to have the channel there.

With that said, freenode has a website, http://www.freenode.net, that will give you all the answers on how to use the service.
