Ok... So I have a problem. The other day (like 2 days ago) I decided to clean out my macbook pro (2009). I deleted a bunch of stuff, but I guess I didn't know what I was deleting, because I no longer have my system preferences. I also realized I deleted Microsoft Word (which that doesn't matter cause I'll just redownload the disk I left at school.)

But how do I get my system preferences back? cause it would be nice to have them... How much will it cost do you think?

And time machine- I realized I hadn't set it up today. lovely I know.

So any help would be wonderful.

Thanks!

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Does System Preferences still appear in the Applications folder, if so simply drag the icon to the Dock to make an alias. If not, pop in your install DVD, open with a Utility suck as Pacifist and re-install System preferences or even do a clean install.
