lost iChatAV preferences

Your Mac's Specs
imac bondie blue 233mhz 320mb ram 2 meg vram 4gig HD and a Beige G3 A/V 266 OCed to 300mhz 64mb ram
when i started ichat earlier this evening it had me set it up again an i thought it was a misstake but then when it connected my hole buddylist was gone is it anything that would cause this problem?

and how can i get my buddylist back if it is possible at all?
