The speed - PC 8500 which is 1066 mhz. The mobo of the MBP's support 1066mhz ram. You can get 1333mhz ram but it will downclock to 1066.

All ya need mate is MacSales ~ OWC and when there put in your Mac specs and OC will do the rest for you. They test ALL there Mac products to make sure of compatibility. They will bring up a whole list of all RAM that will fit in your Mac ..... If you dont like the prices, use them for the RAM and then search else where for it ...

BUT i have know problems with OWC and will continue to use them in the future

Have you tried using Mactracker to determine what type of RAM you need to get?

I second OWC. They also have good customer service, so you can call and ask them specifically what type of RAM to get.

Shouldnt need MacTracker for this as OWC when you put in your Mac Specs brings up a list of hardware only compatible with your machine .....

In saying that though, MacTracker is a great App to keep you in the loop about every Apple made product :)
