Just installed Ubuntu 10.4 on MB pro 2009 running SL. I am in desperate need to get the AirPort working. I went through some forums but did not find much info on the MB pro model. If anyone can let me know where I might be able to find them I would greatly appreciate it. Yes, I am new to Linux better late than never:)

The best way to run Linux on a Mac is to do so through virtualization. You're going to have a heck of a time finding those drivers, unfortunately. The only downside to virtualization is that 3D support is limited, but for the most part, it's not necessary since few people game on Linux.

Check out VMWare Fusion, Parallels or VirtualBox (free).

Have you looked here? What model of MacBook Pro do you have?
