Yes this is a stupid question but I was really wondering whether I was the only one who rows at this forum?

I canoe and kayak. I actually prefer the [single person] kayak over canoeing, much more maneuverable and fun IMO. I actually do more canoeing, however; because I don't get the opportunity to kayak as often, but I love it.

Probably the most fun activity would be white water rafting. The best course I've ever done is the Royal Gorge in Colorado, it is amazing. It can get real rough, especially when the water gets high. They actually raised the age to raft the Royal Gorge a few years back to 16 because they had a few deaths of children. It can get pretty dangerous depending on the water level, but it's great fun.

I have a tupper-ware (plastic) sea kayak and a canoe --- love to paddle - just need to get out more often :dummy: ---- would paddle every day if I lived either on the water or within a mile of some nice water ...... stuck in the burbs

Thats the truth. I'd love to go out on a daily basis, I just don't have that oppurtunity. Yet another benefit of having a waterfront house.

Awesome. Actually I row out of the Stanford Rowing boathouse which they share with sailing, but sailing like to steal our parking spots.

YAY.
I'm working at the Stanford Rowing Camps, we have 7 eight man shells out a day and our temporary dock only can launch 2 eights at a time.
