Hey there,
Just a quick word to ask if anyone knows if Samsung 204-pin DDR3 8500 4GB (2x2GB) laptop RAM (pulled out of HP DV7t -3000 laptop) will work in my mid-2009 MB Pro.
I tried to find out myself but found nothing conclusive out there. Any info will be appreciated, thanks!

Rather than year model, which is often faulty, provide better information, processor and screen size is best as these came in 13", 15" and 17" for starters.

You can always just try it. Obviously there are some flaws in this method that could harm your laptop but the MBP "should" just not boot properly if incompatible.
Probably what you will have to do in the end anyway lol
