Mac OS X Server 10.2 is code named Jaguar. And one of the Mac OS 8's was code named Copland. Your source is wrong. and all the Mac OS X Server names a wrong cept Panther, 10.2 server was once Tigger, but it was changed to Jaguar. This app must suck :D

Here is the URL to the Mactracker website: http://www.mactracker.ca/
Its a great program. Maybe the author had it as 10.2 server - Tigger but he forgot to update it to 10.2 server - Jaguar.

What about mongoose? Now i would buy osx mongoose.
Oi, what happens when apple either finds the need to move on from 10 or runs out of decimals? osXI? or do you think they'll do something more.. better?

I was just thinking about the OS 11/OS XI thing. I would guess that they will call it OS XI. But I wonder how many people call OS X 'os ex' as opposed to 'os ten'? Bacause OS XI would have to be called 'os eleven' on the basis that 'os ex i' sounds stupid.

Just a random thought.

Norwood is a Mid-2010 15 inch MacBook Pro with 10.11.1.
"os ex" versus "os ten"

To add to galaga's thought:

I call it "OS ten" because "X" is the Roman numeral for ten. (I love Roman numerals). :)

When they do come out with OS XI, it should be called "OS eleven".

Here is a thought. When the OS is finally 64 Bit ready. They may change the name to something else ( .i.e Mac OS FP 1.0).

We have gone from 10.2 -> 10.2.1 to 10.2.8, and then 10.3. So we have a lot of room before we even get to OS XI

Panther is so very much worth it. They still have jaguar at my school, so I've been using that for about 1.5 years...or something like that....it probably wasn't jaguar that whole time.....and then I saw panther, and everything that I didn't like about Jaguar (that I still liked more than windows) was fixed....pretty much...as far as I can think right now..yeah

in my opinion, compared to the price of Windows, Mac OS upgrades are cheap.

Really? All of the minor releases are free, and the major ones can be had for around $120 if you buy a system builder OEM
