exporting from iPHOTO to SDHC card

I have been editing many of my photos in Photoshop Elements 9 and then saving the edited pictures back in iPHOTO. I have been attempting to export some of these edited photos to my card reader and onto the 4Gb SDHC card. The card will accept unedited photos but not those that have been edited. When I open the edited photos in iPHOTO and choose "revert to original" I am able to export the photos. Any solutions or ideas as to how I can export the edited photos from iPHOTO to the SDHC card? Thanks.
