I've downloaded a game to my MacBook Pro for the first time and it won't launch. I get a title screen requesting what screen resolution I'd like to use and I simply clicked "Automatic"(the default). Then I clicked "Launch" and immediately the application quits unexpectedly. How do I get my games to work?

Your Mac's Specs
C2D 2.26 | 500GB Seagate Momentus | 2GB 1066 (soon to be 8)
We will need more info than that.

What game? What are the specs of your computer? If you downloaded it, is it a free2play MMO or is it an illegal download (which, if it is, we cannot help you).

It's "Braid", and it's downloaded via the Humble Bundle pack that a friend got for me via gift certificate.

Ah, Braid. Yes, I got that too and had much the same problem.

You can get back to the "resolution settings" screen in Braid (and in most games, in fact) by launching it with the option key held down. Change the settings to something else, and I believe you SHOULD have the "vsync" button checked (at least, I do on mine).

It runs on my 2007 MacBook (not full screen however) so I'm sure it will run on your machine once you find the "right" settings.

I'm having the same problem as well. I have fiddled around with the settings a lot, but even the lowest resolution settings don't seem to work.

Any ideas on how to fix?
