HELP terminal problems!

Heyyy guys!
Ive had a mac for ages but ive never actually done anything with it as not sure on everything it can do, and i sometimes fail to see whats so impressive.. but i done a terminal code to show all my files, and now i cant find one to hide them all, ive completely rebooted my mac and reinstalled all new software... but all my files are still showing

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder

Also, don't mess with terminal unless you are sure of what you are doing!
DeFlake has given you the command to hide the files, but in future, best to check, double check, triple check, etc. what you need to input into teminal, and also, how to reverse any actions that you may have done.
Adding to that, keep current time machine backups!

The same code you entered to show all files. Enter it again. Change the 1 to a 0 this time, or the "TRUE" to a "FALSE"

i don't have that code anymore :/ so im stuck

Yep, if the above didn't work and you don't know what you changed we really can't help you. Your only options areto backup your information and rebuild or learn to live with the settings.

Download and install Onyx - a free maintenence program. one of its many options is show/hide invisible files - in other words, you can do what you want without using the Terminal.
