Hi all,
A couple of weeks ago i installed windows 7 home premium on my macbook white (2010),
It worked very well at first, all i really used it for was programming in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, but then it would refuse to boot up giving me various different problems and then told me to contact the system administrator...

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Please have a look at the pics at the bottom of the page...

Usually this kind of thing happens when the MBR (Master Boot Record) gets corrupted. It's a file at the beginning of the partition telling the computer where the system files, partition etc start.
This might work for you: (although with something like this, if you have nothing you need on the windows partition I would reformat it and install again through bootcamp).

1
Insert Win 7 installation DVD and boot from DVD drive. While in some older systems you may have to change boot order through system BIOS, most newer systems allow booting from DVD without changing boot order by simply clicking on any key when prompted to doing so.

2
Choose your default "Language", "Time", and "keyboard Input" on the first window and click next.

3
You're now presented with 3 choices. Click on "Repair Your Computer" to gain access to the System Recovery window. Now choose "Command Prompt" in order to run the desired utility which is called "bootsect.exe". Bootsect is located inside the boot folder so change your directory to boot. Now run "bootsect /nt60 C:\" if you had Win 7 initially installed in the C partition. Alternatively, you can run "bootsect /nt60 SYS" or "bootsect /nt60 ALL" to repair the system partition or all partitions. Eject the DVD, and restart computer. Your computer should now boot Win 7 again.

If this works you may have to insert your osx disc and run disk utility > repair disk so you get the osx option available afterwards aswell

Yeah this just means the osx side if things can recognise which is which, unfortunately it dosn't mean the vista side does.
Try my suggestion, worst case scenario is you have to repair OSX boot files which disk utility can do very well.

I have had this happen before and nothing repaired it... Sadly it was a full reinstall that was needed.
