I have a few times either been trying to delete multiple files or get info of multiple files and i hit the wrong key combo and next thing i know theres 50 files open on my desktop. is there a way to close all its a pain to restart or to close all programs one by one

Option + Command + W to close multiple get info windows.
To delete multiple files just select them all (or highlight all) and right click and choose send to trash.
To quit applications, Command + Q
To get one summary window when selecting multiple files to get info, click control + Command + i
